This is a tutorial on high energy astrophysics (HEA) aimed at a non technical audience. One of the obstacles that astrophysicists face is that the public seems to believe that they do not have the ability to understand what we do. Admittedly, the details are complicated and require years of education; however, the general concepts do not have to be difficult to grasp.
While there are other sites similar to this (I have a page with links to some of them), I wrote this tutorial to benefit my parents, brothers and friends who merely nod their heads every time I tell them about what I do. I hope that along the way others will stumble to this site and learn something as well.
