Underground Railroad

This is panda #138, in front of the Canadian Embassy at 501 Pennsylvania Ave., NW. It was designed by a sixth grade class. The quilt represents the quilts used by the undergroud railroad bringing slaves to safety. Quilts had been used, with squares coded to show directions to safe houses.
