Kitty Christmas Present

One fine day before Christmas, I locked the cats in my bedroom and brought a present for them into the apartment.  After about twenty minutes of wrestling the wrapping paper (and trying to find enough), I let the cats out of the room.  Here was their reaction:

Artemis checks out the badly wrapped present while Ares sniffs her butt.  Cats are weird.
After enough of a "get to know you" period, Ares decides that the tunnel looks good enough to check out...

...and crawl into...
Ares crawls in
...and peek out at the rest of the world.  Life doesn't get much better than that.

Now Artemis thinks the tunnel is worth checking out
After Ares paved the way, Artemis decides that it can't be all that bad, so she crawls out...

...and sniffs the paper.  
Finally Ares checks out the platform on top of the present.  Notice that he's a bit to close to the tree -- he's eyeing the branches!

After moving the present a bit further from the tree, Ares settles in again, and Artemis considers vying for "king of the present"...or rather "queen of the present".  
 Now Artemis wants to lay on the top
