Good-bye, Baby girl
Dad just called to tell me that they had to put Allie down tonight. She was 18 and had been having kidney problems for months. Tonight, her kidneys started to shut down. Good bye pretty girl. I’m going to miss you. Thank you for being our girl for so long, and never forgetting your first “mama”, no matter how long I’ve been away from Mom and Dad’s house.
Oh no! Honey, I’m so sorry I missed this post yesterday – are you okay?
I’m doing okay. This is a lot harder on my parents, of course, and I think it’ll be really hard the next time I visit home.
I’m trying to remember the 17 years of good things that she brought, though, rather than dwell on the fact that she’s now gone. I may make another post in the next week or so (when I feel more ready) about her and what she meant to me.
I’m sorry. My childhood kitty was a b&w longhair, too, and also made it to 18. I know how it feels. 🙁
Oh, Honey, I’m so sorry. I know how much that furry purry meant to you. Snuggles from Sweetie, and her boys.
